Valentine's Day for Kids:
Amusement Parks are fun places
to spend the day with your children!
A great way to make Valentine’s Day special for you and your children is to do a special activity with them! Amusement parks can be a wonderful way to share the day with your children. I live in Kissimmee, Florida, and there is a lot to do! For those who live in Florida, here is a list of parks near me.
· Universal Studios and Islands of Adenture: Home of Harry Potter, Dr. Seuss World, and The Hulk, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure has a lot to offer children and adults alike! Journey into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and fly on a broom along with Harry through his world! Then, ride the Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, where you can visit Escape from Gringotts, drink Butter Beer, Pumpkin Juice, and more! Hungry? Then, visit The Leaky Caldron for lunch and have the Feast, which consists of grilled chicken and vegetables for a delicious meal that just can’t be beat! For little children, Universal Studio’s Dr. Seuss World features rides such as One Fish, Two Fish, Green Fish, Blue Fish, and more! Older children will have fun battling alongside the Autobots against rogue Decepticons in the Transformers ride! Or journey into the Simpsons world on a virtual roller coaster ride you will not soon forget! Battle alongside Spiderman against Doc Oc, Electro, and more! A trip to Universal Studios and Islands of Adenture is a journey you won’t soon forget, creating a wonderful day with you and your children.
· Walt Disney World: Enjoy the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Whether you are eight or 80, there’s something for everyone! In the Magic Kingdom, enjoy the newly remodeled Fantasyland, or Tomorrowland, Frontierland, and more! In Epcot, fly all over the world to the Alps or to the ocean in Soarin’, or into Project Tomorrow: Inventing the Wonders of the Future, and more. In Animal Kingdom, little patrons will enjoy the Affection Section petting zoo, or go on a safari with elephants and exotic animals! In Walt Disney’s wonderful parks, there is something for everyone!
· SeaWorld Orlando: In SeaWorld Orlando, spend the day with manatees, penguins, dolphins, and more, watching shows or observing sea animals in their natural habitat. Thrill seekers, enjoy the roller coasters Mako, Kraken, Manta, Journey to Atlantis, and more! Enjoy the Paddle Boats, Sky Tower, Shamu’s Happy Harbor, and the Wild Arctic Ride. Spending time with your children at SeaWorld Orlando is an educational, fun experience and one neither of you will soon forget!
· Legoland: Legoland Parks is great place for your young child, featuring little roller coasters, V.I.P experiences with characters, water parks, and more! The Logo Batman Movie is a cute experience, as well as many statues and sites built entirely out of Legos. Legoland is a great day trip for you and your child!
If you don’t live near the above parks, be sure to check out the amusement parks near you! Parks around the United States include King’s Island in Mason, Ohio; Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio; Knoebels, in Pennsylvania; Schlitterbahn Water Park in Texas; Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California; Herseypark in Hersey, Pennsylania; and Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. These are just a few, but some of the best amusement parks in the United States. No matter the park you choose, you’re sure to create some wonderful, fun memories for you and your children!
